The festival with a 300-year history is to pray for a good harvest for this year. This festival features local performing arts to the tune of Japanese music and drumming on a dozen of Yagura (wooden high stages), and Dondo-yaki (setting fire to New Year's decorations and ornaments).

Location: Kuzuryu River and others, Katsuyama, Fukui
JR Hokuriku Honsen Line to Fukui Sta. From there, take Echizen Railway Katsuyama-Eiheiji Line to Katsuyama Sta., and then walk 10 min.
