Nara: Wakakusayama-yaki

Grass-burning Festival. This is the traditional festival to herald the arrival of spring in this region. If it rains, it will be postponed to Jan. 27.

Schedule & Key events:
from 6:15 p.m.: Fireworks display from 6:30 p.m.: Grass-burning

Location: Wakakusayama Hill, Nara, Nara


Access:
JR Nara Line to Nara Sta. or Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Sta. From there, take Nara Kotsu bus to Daibutsuden Kasuga Taisha-mae Bus Stop, and then walk 15 min.
