Fukuoka: Hakozakigu-no-Tamaseseri

Ball-catching Festival. Two groups of farmers and fishermen struggle to catch a sacred wooden ball, which is believed to bring a good harvest or a big catch to the winning team for the year.

Access:
JR Sanyo Shinkansen Line to Hakata Sta. From there, take (1) JR Kagoshima Honsen Line to Hakozaki Sta., and then walk 8 min. (2) Kuko Subway Line to Nakasukawabata Sta., and change to Hakozaki Subway Line to Hakozakigu-mae Sta., and then walk 3 min.
