American artist Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-78) was a 20th-century Renaissance man, juggling projects that cut across multiple artistic disciplines as well as into street culture and food. He also recognized the importance of art in creating thriving communities.
This show at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, will mark Matta-Clark's first solo exhibition in Asia. A total of 200 works will be on display, including sculptures, videos, photographs, drawings and related documents. Yukari Tanaka
