April 25-May 31

London-based graphic designer James Jarvis is well known for his collaborations with Coca-Cola, MTV, Nike and Sony, as well as for creating Martin, the popular mascot of fashion brand Silas. He started out as a designer for London's influential skateboard shop Slam City Skates, and his works have since been heavily influenced by skateboarding culture.

HHH Gallery in Katsushika, Tokyo, is exhibiting a range of Jarvis' drawings from 2013-15, including variations of an unusual blob-like character, which shows the artist's use of roughly sketched lines and simple shapes. Roughly 50 drawings illustrated in this minimal and reductive style are on show, revealing some insight into Jarvis' approach to design.
