Physical space has always been an important element to consider when dealing with painting and architecture. So much in fact, that some artists create their work specifically to be displayed at a certain location.

Fukuoka Art Museum explores this relationship with spaces with "The Dreams Shown by the White Wall." The exhibition features works by the artists Migishi Koutaro and Kikuhata Mokuma, and all linked to the concept of a "White Wall." Works from French architect Le Corbusier, who established the foundations of modern architecture, will also be on display, emphasizing the connection between pictorial representation and physicality; till May 12.
