This exhibition celebrates the Nov. 10 presentation ceremony of the Kyoto Prize, which was established by the electronics company Kyocera's founder, Kazuo Inamori, and given in recognition of outstanding work in the fields of art, philosophy, science and technology.
On display are 40 works by Yoshiyuki Chosa (1915-2002), the metalwork artist from Kagoshima Prefecture who designed the Kyoto Prize medal.
Along with the artworks, which includes a well-known piece that has been featured in the premier Nitten exhibition of Japanese works, are a number of photos that document the life and achievements of Chosa. Videos of his artistic process will also be on show; till Dec. 9.
