Not only in Japan but all over the world, people are enjoying Japanese media arts such as manga, anime and video games, relishing Japan's "cool" image. Those who want to learn not only about the current media arts but also about Japan's cultural history and development may enjoy the Virtual Museum & Exhibition of Japanese Media Art & Culture on March 21.

This seminar aims to transmit Japanese media arts and culture to all the otaku (obsessive) freshmen and pros out there so as to deepen international understanding.

The event starts at 10 a.m. with the first virtual exhibition presentation, focusing on modern Japanese trends and awareness of kawaii (cute) culture, followed by an introduction to the changing face of Japanese media art and culture. The seminar continues with discussions such as how to share Japanese media art and culture with the world. Both Japanese and non-Japanese researchers and journalists will be present to share their experiences and to hear your opinions.
