Set in World War I, “Flyboys” features American pilots who volunteered for the French military before the United States entered the war. James Franco (“Spider-Man”) and other young Americans fly planes and battle against the Germans. Although the film takes some time to introduce each pilot’s background — from an ex-boxer to a spoiled rich kid — their characters, apart from Franco, are poorly depicted, making it difficult to remember even their names. That said, the series of dogfights are sure to please airplane geeks.

In line with COVID-19 guidelines, the government is strongly requesting that residents and visitors exercise caution if they choose to visit bars, restaurants, music venues and other public spaces.
