Last seen making dreams come true on the streets of New York City, art duo Crust and Dirt return with their Instant Drawing Machine to Tokyo on May 13.
The IDM is a modern-day take on the wishing well. It allows pedestrians in far-flung cities the opportunity to meet Crust and Dirt (the alter egos of New York-based Oliver Halsman Rosenberg and San Francisco-based Clint Taniguchi) through computers placed on city sidewalks. Passersby are invited to "share a wish," which the artists then visualize into a drawing. Crust and Dirt will be conducting their IDM at Tokyo's Apple store in Shibuya (6-7 p.m), interacting with passers-by on the streets of London.
