Chibikoro arrived at ARK some 13 years ago when he was just a young pup. He’d been rescued from a place in Tokushima where dogs lived and bred at will with no real human contact. Sadly, this quiet, gentle dog is still at the shelter. Described as a “real sweetie,” Chibikoro is slow to engage with people, which most likely played a part in his not finding a home all these years. About 14 years old, he would make a wonderful companion, older animals usually do — even the shy ones — and Chibikoro’s trust barrier is easily breached through food. Making friends with this kind soul would undoubtedly be a rewarding and satisfying experience. Please give Chibikoro a home. Spending a life in a shelter is barely one, even if it’s as nice as ARK.

If you are interested in adopting Chibikoro, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process. Web: www.arkbark.net.
