Los Angeles Angels hurler Shohei Ohtani, who received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right pitching elbow last month, will be re-evaluated by team physicians on July 19, team manager Mike Scioscia said Wednesday.

Ohtani was cleared to resume hitting and returned to the lineup last week, but he has not pitched since June 6 because of a Grade 2 sprain of his ulnar collateral ligament. He was on the disabled list from June 8 to July 3.

His next evaluation date is exactly three weeks from his last one.

Ohtani has gone 4-1 with a 3.10 ERA in nine starts this season.
