Naoya Inoue will battle some of the best bantamweights from around the globe in a World Boxing Super Series tournament starting this fall, organizers announced Wednesday.

Nicknamed "The Monster," the 25-year-old Inoue has won world titles in three weight classes — light flyweight, super flyweight and bantamweight. He is the current WBA bantamweight champion.

Inoue (16-0, 14 knockouts) is the fourth world champion and seventh fighter overall to sign on for the tournament.

"I am honored to be able to participate in such a top-class tournament. Of course I'm going to win it," Inoue said.

The bantamweight field will also include WBA unified champion Ryan Burnett (19-0, 9 KOs) of Northern Ireland, and former four-division title holder Nonito Donaire (38-5, 24 KOs) of the Philippines.

The first season of the big-money tournament, which kicked off in 2017, was held at two weight classes — cruiserweight and super middleweight.

The upcoming season will be held at bantamweight, junior welterweight and a third division yet to be announced.
