Left-handed rookie Daiki Tajima gave up eight runs in 3⅓ innings on Sunday as the Tokyo Yakult Swallows beat the Orix Buffaloes in the finale of their three-game interleague series.

Tajima (5-3) allowed seven hits and six walks before getting pulled in the fourth, while Takahiro Araki and Wladimir Balentien capitalized on multiple bases-loaded opportunities at Jingu Stadium to give the interleague-leading Swallows their ninth win in 10 games.

Tajima got into a first-inning, bases-loaded jam after yielding a double and two walks, and Araki cranked a three-run double to left center to give the Swallows an early lead.
