Colorful Shower Pocky: Lemon cream flavor just in time for summer

The first is a campaign where the time-honored snack comes in limited-edition wrappers featuring 27 different designs, which can also activate various augmented reality features on a special smartphone app. Sounds complicated! Glico, which makes Pocky, is urging customers to chill these sticks in ice before eating. If that floats your boat, go nuts.

Pocky goes for the gold with Brazilian Orange-flavored snacks
Let the race for clever marketing tie-ins with the 2016 Rio Olympics begin! Pocky's newest limited-edition variety, celebrates one of Brazil's biggest crops by merging citrus flavor and chocolate. Brazilian Orange (¥162) initially tastes a bit off-putting, the chocolate coating on the outside relies too much on the central fruit and ends up tasting like chewing gum. But, whether it's down to some sneaky chemistry or learned appreciation, the more you eat the less off-putting each Pocky stick gets, with the pleasant hints of orange eventually replacing other artificial flavors.

Pocky finds a romantic partner in 'teagurt'
The current cross-band promotion between Glico and Kirin puts the spotlight on romance. By placing a bottle of the latter's "teagurt" beverage next to a package of the former's new Lemon-flavored Pocky, you can make two illustrated figures smooch.
