Women's WBC minimumweight champion Yuko Kuroki will make her fifth title defense in Fukuoka next month, her gym said Tuesday.

Kuroki, 25, will take on compatriot Mari Ando at Fukuoka Kyuden Kinen Gymnasium on Dec. 18 and says she is targeting a knockout.

"I want to win with a good performance. I'll aim for a KO," Kuroki told a news conference.

Kuroki defeated Ando on a decision in May 2014 to seize the minimumweight belt in her second crack at a world title.

"I think this time (Ando) will come at me 10 times harder than she did last time," Kuroki said. "I'll try not to buckle under the pressure and fight with the pride of a champion."
