The Seibu Lions terminated left-hander Andy Van Hekken's contract and placed him on waivers, the Pacific League club announced Friday.
The 36-year-old joined Seibu ahead of this season and was in the starting rotation at the beginning of the season, but struggled with a 0-4 record and a 6.31 ERA in 10 games.
