Ai Miyazato shot a 7-under-par 64 to grab a share of the lead after the first round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic on Friday.

The former world No. 1 eagled the third hole at the par-71 Stockton Seaview Golf Club and had six birdies against a lone bogey in her lowest round of the season, tying for first place with South African Paula Reto and defending champion Anna Nordqvist on Norway.

Miyazato, who has not won on the LPGA Tour since taking the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in 2012, said she was feeling good about being in contention and about her game.
