Miu Hirano and Jun Mizutani won the women's and men's singles finals, respectively, to highlight Japan's dominant showing at the Polish Open on Sunday.

The 16-year-old Hirano, who is seeded 11th, eased past Yu Mengyu of Singapore 12-10, 11-9, 12-10, 11-7 at Arena Ursynow, earning her first singles victory on the ITTF tour.

Meanwhile, the second-seeded Mizutani defeated top-seeded German and world No. 5 Dimitrij Ovtcharov in six games on the final day of the five-day event featuring 154 men and 112 women in the singles division.

In the men's doubles final featuring two Japanese pairs, Masataka Morizono and Yuya Oshima together secured a straight-games victory over the duo of Maharu Yoshimura and Koki Niwa.
