Korea Swimming Federation officials indicted on suspicion of embezzlement: report

Prosecutors indicted a Korea Swimming Federation official and two coaches who were arrested on suspicions of embezzling regional government funds, Yonhap news agency reported Tuesday.

The national news agency said the three men allegedly embezzled a combined 3.56 billion won ($2.9 million) from the money Gangwon Province officials provided for training swimmers over the past seven to eight years.

Yonhap says the KSF board member is also facing charges of taking 430 million won ($356,000) from a construction company in exchange for selecting it to build a swimming venue.
