Ventforet Kofu's Brazilian striker Adriano has had his contract terminated, the J. League club announced Friday.

The 33-year-old joined Ventforet from Tokushima Vortis this season and will leave after scoring one goal in 12 league appearances.

Adriano scored 14 in 27 league games for Cerezo Osaka in 2010, and nine in eight games for Gamba Osaka the next season before he headed to Qatar.

He returned to the J. League last season, but could not find the net in 10 games for Vortis.

Dorival released

KYODO

Matsumoto Yamaga have terminated Brazilian midfielder Dorival's contract, the J. League first-division side announced Friday.

The 28-year-old joined Matsumoto from Brazilian side America Mineiro on loan, but made just two league appearances before rupturing his right medial meniscus in June, an injury that has ruled him out for four months.

Matsumoto, playing their first season in the top flight, finished 15th in the J. League first stage.
