Mongolian yokozuna Hakuho rebounded from an upset defeat by outlasting newly promoted ozeki Terunofuji on Wednesday to remain tied for the lead heading into the final straight of the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament.

Fellow yokozuna Kakuryu was the only other wrestler to win out of the quartet sharing the overnight lead, moving to 10-1 with four days of action remaining at Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium.

Hakuho, who conceded sole possession of the lead with a defeat to Tochiozan on Tuesday, never looked to be danger in the day's penultimate bout.
