Mainz new striker Yoshinori Muto voiced his pleasure at taking on one of the world's top leagues in the German Bundesliga as he was unveiled by his new club on Thursday.

"The German first division is one of the best leagues in the world. I can face remarkable players from across the globe and it will help me develop," said the 22-year-old at a news conference, held at his new home ground Coface Arena.

"I'll try to integrate into the team as soon as I can and will do my best for Mainz," the dynamic forward said in memorized German at the start of the conference, receiving a cheer from the gathered media, before continuing in Japanese.
