Atletico Madrid announced Monday they will play the J. League's Sagan Tosu in a summer friendly in Japan as part of their Asian tour.
The game will be held Aug. 1 at Best Amenity Stadium in Tosu, Saga Prefecture. Atletico were third behind Barcelona and Real Madrid in the La Liga this season.
Tosu are 11th in the J. League first stage, which wraps up Saturday when Sagan hosts Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
