Brazilian legend and former Japan national team coach Zico believes he is in with a chance of replacing Sepp Blatter after voicing his intention of running for FIFA presidency.

"My name is known all over the world and I have a wealth of experience," the 62-year-old Zico said in an interview with Brazilian TV network Globo.

"I am a candidate because I think the current situation FIFA gives a very great openness about what lies ahead in terms of a new mentality. I understand that anyone in soccer, not only a player, a doctor, former player, trainer, also has that opportunity."
