Daiya Seto achieved a personal treble on the final day of the Japan Open on Sunday, winning the men's 200-meter individual medley in 1 minute, 57.63 seconds to add to his first-place finishes in the 200 butterfly and 400 medley during the three-day competition.

Kanako Watanabe won the women's 200 breaststroke in 2:22.13, 0.33 ahead of Rie Kaneto, while Natsumi Hoshi (58.46) came second behind Emma McKeon of Australia (57.62) in the 100 butterfly at Tatsumi International Swimming Center.

Kazuki Kohinata came top in the men's 200 breaststroke in 2:09.51, while Shinri Shioura and Miki Uchida claimed the men's and women's 50 freestyle titles after logging 22.04 and 25.14, respectively.
