Mongolian yokozuna Hakuho and Harumafuji both emerged unscathed on a day of upsets in the upper ranks Saturday to stay tied for the lead heading into the second week of the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament.

Tournament favorite Hakuho, gunning for a 35th title, and Harumafuji improved to 6-1 and stayed in a tie for top spot with sekiwake Terunofuji and five other wrestlers.

No ozeki are among the leading pack, and Kisenosato (5-2) was the only wrestler at sumo's second rank to win his bout after Goeido and Kotoshogiku lost.
