Yuta Omine escaped a first-inning jam to go eight innings and earn the win as the Chiba Lotte Marines routed the Seibu Lions 11-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Omine (2-1) allowed a run on four hits, four walks and a hit batsman, while striking out two before 20,860 at sunny QVC Marine Field as Lotte thumped the Lions for the second straight day.

Homers by Luis Cruz and Alfredo Despaigne highlighted Lotte's five-run first against Taiwan right-hander Kuo Chun-lin (2-3). Ikuhiro Kiyota, Daichi Suzuki and Katsuya Kakunaka opened the inning with three straight singles to give the Marines a 1-0 lead.
