Mongolian yokozuna Hakuho knocked ozeki Kotoshogiku out of the park to move within one win of his 34th career title at the Spring Sumo Grand Sumo Tournament on Thursday.

With New York Yankees great Derek Jeter watching from the ringside seats and clearly enjoying the action alongside a female companion, Hakuho produced a few juicy slugs of his own and rammed Kotoshogiku (7-5) over the straw ridge to preserve his flawless record at 12-0.

The two icons were introduced after the day's action, with Jeter saying he had heard a lot about sumo from former teammate Hideki Matsui.
