Sho Endo came third for a podium finish in the six-man moguls final to put himself atop the overall World Cup freestyle skiing standings on Saturday.

Endo scored 82.47 points for the bronze behind Canadians Mikael Kingsbury and Simon Pouliot-Cavanagh, his second straight podium finish after coming runnerup at the season-opening event in Ruka, Finland, last month.

"I am happy to make the podium but don't need to finish in second or third anymore," said the 24-year-old Endo. "I compete to win. I no longer feel the joy I felt when I first made the podium."

Local favorite Kingsbury claimed his first title of the season and 22nd overall World Cup championship.
