Kawasaki Frontale will not re-sign three-time World Cup midfielder Junichi Inamoto for next season, the J. League first-division club announced on Thursday.
The 35-year-old Inamoto has played in 15 games with one goal across all competitions this season for Kawasaki, which is sixth in the league, 10 points off the pace ahead of its final game on Saturday.
Inamoto's former international teammates Atsushi Yanagisawa and Koji Nakata have announced they are retiring at the end of the season.
