Shun Sugawara outperformed former Louisiana Tech quarterback Colby Cameron when he threw a game-tying touchdown pass as time expired in regulation and scored the decisive touchdown in the second tiebreaker, leading the Obic Seagulls to a 37-34 victory over the Fujitsu Frontiers Monday night at Tokyo Dome.
The Seagulls clinched the Pearl Bowl championship for the first time in two years and their fifth overall.
