YOKOHAMA – Sagan Tosu maintained their lead in the J. League with a 2-1 win over Yokohama F. Marinos on Saturday, with Kim Min-woo and Kei Ikeda scoring first-half goals.
Kim opened the scoring in the ninth minute and Ikeda doubled the lead six minutes later with a header that beat Yokohama goalkeeper Tetsuya Enomoto.
Shunsuke Nakamura cut the deficit to 2-1 with a long range effort in the final minute of regulation time but the hosts did not have time to find an equalizer.
Elsewhere, Hiroyuki Abe and Kotaro Omori scored second-half goals to lead Gamba Osaka to a 2-1 win over Nagoya Grampus.
