The Toyota Motors Alvark have always been a powerhouse in Japanese men's basketball, and it's nothing unusual for them to post more wins than losses.

But having won as many as they have is another story. The NBL Eastern Conference club has gone undefeated in its last 28 games. The last time the Alvark lost in a regular-season game was on Dec. 14, when they fell to the Aisin SeaHorses for the second straight day.

"To win 28 games in a row in any professional sport at any level is quite an accomplishment," Toyota head coach Donald Beck said after the Alvark's 100-67 win over the Hitachi Sunrockers in Tokyo on Saturday.
