Two-time overall champion Sara Takanashi captured her 14th World Cup win in 17 competitions on Saturday.

The 17-year-old Takanashi produced her 23rd career victory with 228.0 points, after jumps of 90.5 and 91 meters against strong winds that delayed the start by two hours.

Takanashi finished ahead of countrywoman Yuki Ito who was second with 218.3, and Finland's Julia Kykkaenen in third at 207.4.

The season ends next week in Planica, Slovenia.

"I had to wait a long time because of the wind but I think I did what I had to do," Takanashi said. "I stepped up when I had to and that means a lot to me."
