Sara Takanashi put aside her Olympic disappointment to dominate Saturday's women's World Cup meet and clinch her second straight overall title.

The 17-year-old Takanashi, who finished fourth at the Sochi Olympics after being the heavy favorite to win the gold medal, scored 252.0 points from two jumps, 25.6 more than Norway's Maren Lundby, who was second. Yuki Ito was third with 221.6 points.

"I felt good jumping," Takanashi said. "I was reassured and relieved to win. Being able to stand on the podium with someone (Ito) who has been a great help to me since I was little, made it a wonderful day."

Takanashi landed jumps of 100.5 and 99 meters en route to her 11th win on the World Cup circuit this season. She moved ahead of former Nordic combined athlete Kenji Hagiwara for career World Cup victories by a Japanese with 20.
