Yutaka Take added another chapter to his phenomenal riding career, winning an unprecedented 100th career Grade 1 title aboard Tosen Ra in the Mile Championship on Sunday.

Take's mount went off as the second choice in a maximum field of 18, breaking through traffic on the final straight to go under the wire in 1 minute, 32.4 seconds on firm going at Kyoto Racecourse.

The 5-year-old Tosen Ra, who reached the Grade 1 winner's circle for the first time, finished a length in front of third pick Daiwa Maggiore. Favorite Danon Shark was third, another three-quarters of a length behind.
