J. League first-division side Omiya Ardija announced Wednesday that midfielder Shin Kanazawa will be out for four weeks with a knee injury.

The 29-year-old, who has two goals in 21 J1 games this season, hurt the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in Sunday's 1-0 win over league-leading Yokohama F. Marinos.

The win snapped a skid of eight consecutive league losses for Ardija, who are currently sixth in the league with 39 points, eight points back of Marinos.

J. League first-division club Cerezo Osaka announced Wednesday that midfielder Yusuke Maruhashi will miss three weeks with a left knee injury.

The 22-year-old, who has started all but three of the team's league games this season, damaged the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in Saturday's scoreless draw at home with Kawasaki Frontale.

Cerezo are currently fifth in the league with 39 points, eight back of league-leading Yokohama F Marinos. The injury will likely rule Maruhashi out of Cerezo's next game, at Marinos on Sept. 14.
