John Bowker homered for the second straight night, giving the Giants the lead in the second inning with his 11th homer of the year, a two-out, two-run shot off BayStars starter Kota Suda (3-2).
The BayStars halved that deficit in the top of the third, when Norihiro Nakamura's two-out single off Miyaguni (5-5) scored captain Takehiro Ishikawa from second.
