Daisuke Miura won a battle of aces, working into the eighth inning behind outstanding run support as the Yokohama BayStars defeated the Central League-leading Yomiuri Giants 10-7 on Tuesday.

Miura (8-9) held the Giants to two runs through the first six innings, but began to tire after his teammates made it 10-2 in the top of the seventh. The 39-year-old right-hander allowed seven runs on 11 hits and two walks in 7⅔ innings.

It was the first time in eight years that Miura won at Tokyo Dome.
