Mao Asada will skate for Japan at this year’s Japan Open team competition, the Japan Skating Federation announced Wednesday.

Mao will be joined by Daisuke Takahashi and Takahiko Kozuka on the men’s side for the competition that will pit Japan against teams from North America and Europe at Saitama Super Arena on Oct. 5.

The JSF has not said when it will name the remaining woman skater on its team.

Spain’s Javier Fernandez, the bronze medal at March’s world championships, is scheduled to compete in the event.
