Oakland Athletics shortstop Hiroyuki Nakajima is set to resume regular workouts on Monday for the first time since he hurt his left hamstring in March, the club announced Saturday.

Nakajima, who was put on the 15-day disabled list on March 31, will report to the A's' extended spring training camp in Arizona on Monday and he will have the opportunity to take part in practice games.

The 30-year-old joined the American League West champs as a free agent over the winter from the Pacific League's Seibu Lions, but has yet to play a single game in the majors.
