Hideki Matsui is a dad.
The former New York Yankee who retired last year said Wednesday that his wife gave birth to a son earlier this month. Both mother and child are in good health.
"The two have come home from the hospital doing really well," said the 38-year-old Matsui, who was married five years ago and continues to live in New York.
