Miki Ito won the silver medal in the women's moguls at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships on Wednesday.

American Hannah Kearney took the gold and the bronze went to Canadian Justine Dufour-Lapointe.

It was the 25-year-old Ito's second world medal after placing second in the dual moguls at the 2009 championships.

"It still hasn't sunk in yet," said Ito. "My style of skiing returning a medal will give me confidence."

Aiko Uemura was fifth and Arisa Murata was sixth.

On the men's side, Sho Endo failed to make the six-man super final won by Canadian Mikael Kingsbury.
