Aiko Uemura soared through qualifying before dropping off to a fifth-place finish in Saturday's World Cup dual moguls.
Uemura was second in qualifying, but flopped in the quarterfinals. America's Hannah Kearney earned her 33rd career victory in the event. Japan's Arisa Murata was eighth.
It was Uemura's second-best finish of the World Cup season. The four-time Winter Olympian with 10 World Cup victories under her belt was third in December in Ruka, Finland.
