The Pacific League's Fukuoka Softbank Hawks said Friday the ballpark formerly known as Yahoo Dome will have a new name starting Feb. 1.
From February, the facility will be named after Yahoo Auctions. According to a release from Fukuoka Softbank Hawks Marketing Corp., the name in roman characters will be "Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome."
The ballpark had been called Fukuoka Yahoo Japan Dome since Softbank Corp., the parent company of Yahoo Japan, began operating the Hawks in 2005.
