Injury-weary winger Ryo Miyaichi will need two or three more weeks to fully recover from an ankle problem, Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez said Saturday.

Martinez said after a 1-1 draw away to Fulham that Miyaichi is realistically looking at making a return to action in the second week of February from a right ankle injury sustained in training in November.

The 20-year-old Miyaichi has endured a difficult time since arriving on loan from Arsenal in the summer. He sustained the ankle injury having only just returned from a spell out with a groin strain.

Miyaichi last played in a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Nov. 17.
