J. League first-division side Urawa Reds announced Monday that they have agreed to terms with Sanfrecce Hiroshima defender Ryota Moriwaki.

The 26-year-old Moriwaki played in 33 of Sanfrecce's 34 league games this year and also for the new J1 champions in the recently completed Club World Cup. He will be reunited at Reds with manager Mihailo Petrovic, his former manager at Sanfrecce.

"I am going to take the field with the determination not to be outplayed by anybody," the 177-cm, 75-kg Moriwaki said in a statement released by Reds.

"I will carry my pride, joy and gratitude in being able to play for Urawa onto the field and give 100 percent."
