The Chiba Lotte Marines announced Thursday that they have acquired right-hander Dicky Gonzalez.

Gonzalez, who will turn 34 on Dec. 21, will be entering his 10th season in Japan after going just 4-1 with a 3.20 ERA in 11 games this year for the Yomiuri Giants.

He spent his first four years in Japan with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows and had his best season with Yomiuri in 2009, when he went 15-2. Gonzalez has a 45-39 record in Japan with a 3.46 ERA.

It is the second straight season the Marines have welcomed a Giants castoff. Seth Greisinger, who also began his Japan career with Yakult before joining Yomiuri, went 12-8 this year with a 2.24 ERA in his first season after leaving the Giants.
