Koji Murofushi, the London Olympic bronze medalist in the hammer throw, will continue with his career but remains unsure whether he will shoot for the next Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Kyodo News learned on Monday.

Murofushi, 38, will take part in next year's world athletics championships and the national championships, according to an official on his team. But beyond that, the world and 19-time Japanese champion does not know.

The U.S.-based Murofushi has withheld from commenting on his future, saying he would decide after a full recovery from London. But a team official recently spoke to Murofushi, who said he would compete next season.
